Arsenal 6 – 0 Braga
Arshavin 30, Chamakh 34, Fabregas 53, 9(pen), Vela 69,84
I predicted a 3 – 0 win for Arsenal. I never imagined we would put six past Braga. I watched their qualifying games against Celtic and Sevilla and they played well against both.
Fabregas and Wilshere pulled the strings for Arsenal all night long.
It was good to have Nasri back. He had a decent game and completed 90 mins without incident.
Arshavin was very wasteful. At one point I was tallying up his mis-placed passes and counted 6 in the space of around 20 mins. Scored a well taken goal.
Lima, my touted danger-man and hat-trick hero from their last match started the game on the bench. After he came on late in the match you could see why.
Wilshere can be a tough cookie when he wants to. This is an interesting side to him that I would not be against seeing more of.
Our defence and Almunia had little to do and were solid throughout.
Braga gave us to much room and respect.
Koscielny is beginning to impress me. He had a remarkable stat last season in the French league that he did not lose a single one on one battle. You can see why!
Again, Vela impressed me. His finishing and movement was sharp.
Overall Conclusion: We won a game we were expected to win. Braga didn’t turn up. We could have scored more if we hadn’t taken our foot off the pedal. The six goals will send out a nice message to Europe that we mean business.
I thoroughly enjoyed last night. We look really sharp and there is a heightened sense of maturity about the players.

Agree with your conclusions. Cesc and Jack were outstanding all night, Chamakh too.
Wilshere showed exactly why Wenger rates him so highly. He looked every inch Cesc’s heir apparent last night. And to think he’s still only 18 …

It wouldn’t be unfair to say that Wilshere has similar talent to what Fabregas had at that age.
In some ways, he is already better than Cesc was at that age. He is more willing to get himself into the box in goalscoring positions, for instance. Who knows if he’ll turn out to be as good as Cesc? It will certainly be fun watching him develop, that’s for sure!
the gunners deserved that delicious win. am miike james
the young gunners knows how to shoot the target. am mike james
I think Chamack is not enjoying the games yet. He wants more balls to come to his head.
He can score 7 out of 10 heads. Arsenal is on the right path anyway.
I just pray that the Gunners can keep shooting like this and win either the premier League or the uefa champinons league trophy for themselves and for the patient FANS.
good comments,
I would like to add, that i was happy i went to the match and well done to all the supporters who created a great atmosphere (for a champions league match that finished just before kick-off that is).
cant figure out what Arshavin is doing – its like he only has 4 moments of talent to use in each match, (4 great moments) but the rest of the time just forgets what colour shirt he has on just before passing.
It was funny when he celebrated his goal in front of the away crowd again – im assuming he keeps doing it by accident.
